この度の能登半島地震 につきまして
能登はわたしの生まれ育った故郷です
そこで被災地応援のため今できることとして
作品をチャリティー販売することにしました

あの日、わたしは東京にいました。
幸い能登の実家も家族も無事でしたが、慣れ親しんだ町の風景は一変してしまいました。
この間、たくさんの方々から安否の問い合わせや励ましのお言葉をいただき、
自分も被災者の側の心持ちでおりましたが
日が経つにつれ、作家として何かできることがあるのではないかと気がつきました。
わたしの作品の根底には能登の風景があります。
少しでも早く日常が戻るようにと願います。

Regarding the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake
Noto is my hometown where I was born and raised, therefore I have decided to raise some money with my art for the disaster-stricken areas.

The day of the earthquake I was in Tokyo. Fortunately, my home and family in Noto are safe, but the town has been severely damaged and it now looks completely different.
After the disaster, I received inquiries from many people regarding my safety and words of encouragement. I also felt I was on the side of the disaster victims.
As the days passed, I realized that maybe there was something I could do as an artist.
At the root of my work is the landscape of Noto.
I hope that life will go back to normal as soon as possible.
